MR STEPHEN MBURU.

Mr. Stephen Mburu is our Lead Scientific Consultant academic, research, and operations director. He is currently a PhD Scholar and holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Chemistry,

a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences, and an MSc Fellowship in Molecular and Bioinformatics from the University of Cape Town (H3Africa BioNet Programme).

He is a Lecturer at Kenya Methodist University (KEMU), actively involved in teaching, curriculum development, and mentorship. His research experience includes laboratory-based and animal model studies conducted under OECD protocols,

research bioethics, and authorship of PubMed-indexed publications. He is also an active peer reviewer for international journals, with contributions recognized on Publons (Clarivate Analytics).

Mr. Mburu has presented and advocated for research at the Evercare Conference, Nigeria (2025) and the KEMRI KASH Conference (Presenter, 2026). He has strong expertise in Laboratory Quality Management systems, including ISO-based QC and IQC implementation,

and extensive experience in Biosafety and Biosecurity training under ISO 15190, having trained laboratory and other healthcare workers across Kenya through USAID Afya ya Jamii, USAID Nuru ya Jamii, and the Fleming Fund (University of Nairobi).
